Probable Lineups

Pep Guardiola is unlikely to take any risks on his players' fitness so Nicolas Otamendi and Bernardo Silva are unlikely to feature, while Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy are sidelined.

The likes of Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan could earn rare starts with Champions League action in mind, while Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling may be competing for one spot in the side.

Probable Lineups

Jordan Henderson returns from the international break with a thigh complaint but elsewhere only Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is sure to miss out.

Xherdan Shaqiri impressed for Switzerland last weekend and has been in strong form so should keep his place in the side, while Fabinho may continue to get the nod over Naby Keita.

Roberto Firmino has been dropped into the number ten role of late but even still the Brazilian's dry spell in front of goal may see his place in the side come under threat before long.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Probable Lineups

Luke Shaw serves a one-match ban for Manchester United after picking up his fifth booking of the Premier League season before the international break.

With Ashley Young expected to start at left-back, Antonio Valencia could make his first appearance for United in almost two months. Alternatively, summer signing Diogo Dalot is available again and could make his league debut at right-back.

French duo Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were both ruled out of the international break through injury but are expected to recover in time to start here.

Marcus Rashford was forced off in England's 2-1 win over Croatia on Sunday through injury and will need further assessment ahead of this weekend's clash.

Romelu Lukaku has spent the international break in Belgium recovering from injury and is a major doubt for the home side.

Victor Lindelof recovered from illness to feature, and score, in Sweden's 2-0 win over Russia on Tuesday and should be fine to start against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Eric Bailly is a doubt, however.

Tottenham host Chelsea

Probable Lineups

Kieran Trippier is a doubt having been forced off in the first half of the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace before the international break, with Serge Aurier in line to start.

Despite returning to full training, Jan Vertonghen is not expected to start this weekend with one eye on next week's clash with Inter in the Champions League.

Eric Dier may come in for Victor Wanyama in the middle of the park, while Christian Eriksen, who only played 45 minutes for Denmark in midweek, should be fine to start.

Vincent Janssen, Mousa Dembele, Davinson Sanchez and Danny Rose all miss out for Tottenham.

Mateo Kovacic is a doubt for Chelsea and, other than the confirmed absence of Ethan Ampadu, Maurizio Sarri has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Sarri is unlikely to make sweeping changes to his XI for the visit to Wembley.

Alvaro Morata and Willian should get the nod ahead of Olivier Giroud and Pedro, though.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both withdrew from international duty due to respective back and groin injuries and will need further assessment ahead of Sunday's match against Bournemouth.

Laurent Koscielny is nearing a first-team return but lacks match fitness and isn't expected back just yet.

Marcelo Gallardo is keeping his cards close to his chest, but with Rafael Santos Borre suspended and Nacho Scocco injured, the River coach has decisions to make in attack.

Lucas Pratto, scorer in the first leg, will start up front with Pity Martinez and Nacho Fernandez likely supporting.

Captain Leonardo Ponzio returns in central midfield and with be supported by the impressive Exequiel Palacios.

There is a chance that River could go with a back-five and Lucas Martinez Quarta starting, but if not Enzo Perez will get the nod in midfield in front of a first choice back four.

The hamstring injury suffered by Cristian Pavon in the first leg creates the real dilemma for Guillermo Barros Schelotto - does he start Wanchope Abila AND Dario Benedetto?

That 4-4-2 that he switched to in the first leg is a possibility, but so too is the introduction of either Carlos Tevez, Mauro Zarate or Edwin Cardona to support the number 9, in addition to Sebastian Villa.

Wilmar Barrios anchors the midfield and will likely be joined by Pablo Perez and Nahitan Nandez.

While the back four should remain unchanged, the other question is in goal - Agustin Rossi was excellent in the first leg but first choice Esteban Andrada is fit again.
