Life without Ronaldo would be hard, but not this hard

Rightly or wrongly, the directors at Real Madrid had thought for several weeks that Julen Lopetegui had not finished taking control of the dressing room. It was too accustomed to the agreements of the previous rein of Zinedine Zidane, who did not impose his authority on a comfortable dressing room during a prolonged period of success, leaving bad working habits, hierarchies and a well-defined pecking order, as if there was a pre-established law. Of course, it cannot be an easy task to shake up the status quo after three consecutive Champions League triumphs. It's hard to install a meritocracy and to play those in the best form, ignoring the recent history.
