Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has been named All Football Player of the Week.
Ter Stegen highlights our All Football Team of the Week and was selected as a competitive candidate in our All Football Player of the Week Vote, in which he casts the most votes beating Martial, Jovic & Co to the award.
The German goalkeeper is without doubt one of the best goalkeepers in the world, someone even labels him as 'The Messi with gloves'. His performance against Sevilla on Saturday night was a strong prove.
The 26-year-old thwarted Sevilla several times in La Liga top-of-the-table clash, showing off his lightning reflexions to keep out a near-certain goal from an Andre Silva header and block the follow-up from Franco Vazquez.
Sometimes a single double-saves wasn't enough to grab a win, Ter Stegen did the same with only three minutes to go. He turned away Pablo Sarabia's strike from point-blank range in the area and then prevented Wissam Ben Yedder from knocking in the rebound.
With FOUR moments of magic saves, Ter Stegen showed he is the man Barcelona can really count on in the coming weeks with Messi sidelined and sent a persuading self-recommendation to Germany National Team's goalkeeping contests.
He scored NO goals this week, but the Barcelona stopper is strong enough to win our Player of the Week award.
