Spain star Paco Alcacer named All Football Player of the Week

Spain striker Paco Alcacer has been named All Football Player of the Week.

Paco Alcacer highlights our All Football Team of the Week and was selected as a competitive candidate in our All Football Player of the Week Vote, in which he casts the most votes beating Neymar, Mbappe & Co to the award.

Last Tuesday, Alcacer, making his first appearance for the national team in two years, struck the first two goals in Spain's 4-1 win over Wales, taking his Rioja tally to eight in 14 games.

Not included in Luis Enrique's first squad a month ago, Alcacer got his call-up despite having not started a single league game for his new club, Borussia Dortmund. Mind you, by the time he arrived at Spain national team, he was somehow the Bundesliga's top scorer... without starting a game (he scored SIX goals in only 81 minutes).

After joining Borussia Dortmund on loan from Barcelona this summer, Alcacer showed his incredible hot form and his scoring run shows no signs of abating. Will he guide BVB to Bundesliga title this season?
