@Zepknoruy: I personally don't know how the Argentine full team was (back in 1986), but because I really know the current team with Lionel Messi, then I can say it's true that the current team (of Argentina) depends much on Messi. Remember when Messi carried his country on his back in 2014 Brazil World Cup until the final. He fought hard to win it for his nation but his fellows let him down despite their efforts at least. In 2015, Mèssi was punished by FIFA (a bun that almost killed Argentina's dream to qualify for 2018 World Cup). It was until the man came back to fight for the reminder and every real football fun witnesses what he did in Equador in the very last match to qualify.

If one thinks that Mèssi is not the hope of Argentina then analyse the matches when he is out of the squad and see! A country with players like Correa, Banega, Maschelano, Higuain, Aguero, Di Maria, Icardi, Dybala, and others (just to mention a few) would be doing the most wonderful job EVEN WITHOUT Mèssi! Overdependence on a single man is what proves that the current Argentina is much dependent on Lionel Mèssi despite a list with huge names in World Football.

@Đaiveed ♥: Argentina simply lost because they had no Messi to perform a little bit of magic for them... even if he played they could have still lost at least having him on the pitch is much more better cause we all know what the GOAT is capable of doing.... He's the Greatest Player of All time no one can be compared I haven't seen anyone so skillful and awesome like Lionel Messi with him in games there's always a huge difference ✌ ✌... maradona was a very great player one of the best players in history he did very well for Argentina leading them. to a World Cup.... hopefully very soon Messi is gonna do that!! @MRaR10: YES THEY DO.Thw fans have put in their mind "without messi argentina is nothing" and some players have put this in their minds "without messi we will lose " Football is not a 1 men support it is a game of the whole team contributing same and working hard.But if we see that in the past argentina had players like Zanetti,Maradona etc. and much more who worked together to win matches and tropies.Argentina also lack a great manager.If we see another like brazil they dont rely on neymar but they work as a team,Germany they do not rely on their defense they work as a team.But argentina rely on messi a lot they should thank god for messi.
