Koulibaly: Egypt earned its place in the semifinals

On the eve of the eagerly awaited clash between Senegal and Egypt in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal captain Kalidou Koulibaly appeared at a press conference with great respect for his opponents.

The captain of the Lions of Teranga highlighted the strength of the Pharaohs, an experienced team that has defied the odds to reach this stage of the competition.

According to him, although the spotlight has been on other favorites, Egypt’s presence is well deserved.

Determined, the central defender reiterated that his team is ready to take on the challenge:

“I think it’s a team we know very well. They are strong and have a lot of players who are used to the competition. It’s a team that has fallen by the wayside among the favorites. People were talking about Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria, but Egypt has been very solid and deserves to be there. Tomorrow will be a big game, but we’ve done it before, and we’ll go out there with our weapons and our ambitions.”

This match, which counts as the first semifinal of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, at 5:00 p.m. GMT between Senegal and Egypt.
