AFCON 2025: Two-day break before quarterfinals

After the intensity of the round of 16 matches, the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is taking a short 48-hour break on Wednesday and Thursday.
This will allow fans and delegations to catch their breath before the quarterfinals begin, when the intensity will reach even greater heights.
The competition will return on Friday, January 9, 2026, with an explosive start to the quarterfinals.
The West African clash between Mali and Senegal will kick off at 4:00 p.m., followed by a highly anticipated clash of titans between Cameroon and Morocco at 7:00 p.m.
