South Africa head coach Hugo Broos has voiced his displeasure with the logistical arrangements ahead of his side’s crucial clash with Cameroon, expressing frustration over training conditions and travel concerns. Speaking candidly, Broos revealed that his team is based far from their designated training facility, a situation he believes is far from ideal at such a critical stage of the tournament.

“I’m not so happy with the current situation, we are 25 minutes away from our training pitch,” Broos said. “It doesn’t make me happy, such things.” The Belgian tactician stressed that preparation at this level demands optimal conditions, noting that unnecessary travel time could impact focus and recovery as his side gears up for a high-stakes encounter.

Broos also questioned the fairness of the arrangements, suggesting that South Africa may be forced to train at Morocco’s base camp—Morocco being their next potential opponent. “And certainly not, if my information is right, Cameroon and we have to train in the base camp of Morocco, our next opponent. I don’t understand how CAF allows that,” he added, calling on the Confederation of African Football to ensure equal and professional conditions for all teams involved.
