Angola VS Zimbabwe: a historic battle with historic stats

In less than an hour, the battle between Angola and Zimbabwe will kick off. Before sliding into the main course, let's take a look at some historical data between the two teams, as an entree. 

The two teams have some similar conditions before their combat are set. Angola lost their opening game 2–1 against South Africa, marking their third defeat in an opening AFCON game.  Zimbabwe lost their opening game 2–1 to Egypt, marking their opening game defeat in three consecutive times and fifth overall (D1).

Angola have won the last two meetings between the nations and three of the last four overall, with Zimbabwe winning once. 

Their first-ever meeting was a friendly in 1985, which Zimbabwe won 3–2 on 10 November.

Both teams scored 1 goal and conceded 2 goals, which means this match will hugely determine their fate in Group B. The winning team would progress with precious 3 pts to step up in the group, while the one who lost will be largely possible to be delegated out of the tournament.
