Wilfried Zaha has urged the Ivory Coast to show a more ruthless edge on the pitch despite a positive outing, insisting the Elephants must become “killers” to truly assert themselves in the competition.

The experienced forward admitted he felt good with his performance and proud to represent his country, but stressed that there is still room for improvement. Zaha highlighted the need for greater aggression and efficiency, especially in decisive moments.

“We have to be more ruthless, we have to be killers on the pitch,” Zaha said. “I felt good out there. I came to play for my country, and that’s always an honour.”

Looking ahead, the former Crystal Palace winger expressed confidence that the team will raise its level in the next outing, promising a stronger and more complete performance as Ivory Coast continue their campaign.
