Grimaldo has signed a pre-contract agreement for a €30m move to Napoli

Portuguese reports suggest Benfica full-back Alejandro Grimaldo has signed a pre-contract agreement for a €30m move to Napoli.

The 22-year-old left-back can also play in a more advanced attacking role in a trident on that flank.

He came up through the Barcelona youth academy and has been at Benfica since January 2016.

According to A Bola, Grimaldo has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Napoli to make his transfer this summer.

Although the release clause in his contract is worth €60m, the clubs seem to have worked out terms for a €30m switch.

This season, Grimaldo has contributed one goal and four assists in 28 games.
