Jorge Vilda has published a statement in which he slams the "improper behavior" of Luis Rubiales.

The coach of the Spanish women's soccer team, Jorge Vilda, has issued a statement in which he regrets the "improper behavior" of Luis Rubiales, the president of the Royal Spanish Soccer Federation who has been suspended by FIFA after what happened after the World Cup final in Australia and New Zealand.

Vilda has published these statements, advanced this Saturday by Relevo, hours after learning that 11 members of her coaching staff have made their position available to the federation. His words also come after the investigation of both this body and the Higher Sports Council, as well as the resignation of the team's players.

"The events that have taken place since Spain won the Women's World Cup for the first time in its history and to this day have been a real nonsense," Vilda said in her statement. The coach assures that these "have generated an unprecedented situation, tarnishing a well-deserved victory for our players and our country."

Regarding Rubiales' behavior, Vilda affirms that "there is no doubt that it is unacceptable and does not reflect at all the principles and values that I defend in my life, in sport in general and in football in particular". The Spanish coach adds that he has conveyed these statements to both the interim president of the RFEF and Rubiales.
