Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses seemed to be in good spirits on Friday as they were put through their paces ahead of their World Cup final against Spain.

England Women will make their first appearance in the fixture on Sunday after beating hosts Australia 3-1 in Wednesday's semi-final.

Wiegman was seen looking serious as she addressed the group during the session, with each player engrossed in her pre-final pep-talk.

The rest of the session seemed more relaxed, though, with Wiegman seen smiling from beneath a cap as her players ran through final preparations.

Jess Carter was also all smiles during the session, while Rachel Daly looked upbeat while completing some gym work.

Mary Earps, Chloe Kelly and Niamh Charles were among those taking part in small-sides games beneath palm trees at Australia's Central Coast stadium.

Chelsea's Lauren James was put through her paces in the session after missing England's past two games for standing on Nigerian forward Michelle Alozie.

The forward scored three goals in her first three appearances at the tournament and will be available to make her return in Sunday's final.

She is among England's most exciting players, but there may be a risk to recalling her for such a big game.

Speaking on Mail Sport's new preview show It's All Coming Up, Chris Sutton said: 'I think it's one of those where Lauren James will come off the bench and probably impact the game, but (Wiegman) can't put James straight back into the team as far as I can see.

'The team actually seem to be getting better the longer the tournament goes on, and the fact that Lauren James comes back and sits on the bench gives England another outstanding attacking player to come on and make an impact.'

Host Ian Ladyman disagreed, arguing James should come back in to the side as 'she is one of England's best eleven players.'

If the Lionesses beat Spain in Sunday's final, they will become just the third side in history to hold the European Championship and Women's World Cup titles at the same time.

The two sides faced each other in the Euros quarter finals last year, with England winning a tense affair after extra time following goals from Ella Toone and Georgia Stanway.
