Neymar has agreed with Al Hilal on a two-year contract for €160M salary
L’Équipe report that Neymar has reached an agreement with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal over the terms of a two-year contract, with talks still ongoing with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian, who has just returned from a long-term injury absence after reconstructive ankle ligament surgery, was among a group of players who were told by the Ligue 1 champions to find new clubs last week.
According to L’Équipe, the 31-year-old’s six-season spell in the French capital will now come to end, even though he was still under contract for another four campaigns. Talks are still ongoing between the two clubs, but the forward’s departure is now connsidered to be a given.
Neymar will earn €160m over two years with Al-Hilal, who are owned by the Gulf state’s sovereign wealth fund. He becomes the latest of a long line of players to move to Saudi Arabia this summer, as part of the country’s lucrative offensive on European football. At the Riyadh-based club, he will notably play alongside Kalidou Koulibaly, Rubén Neves, and former Bordeaux winger Malcom.
