Alexia Putellas awarded for her inclusion in 'The Best 2022' FIFA Best team

Alexia Putellas, FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder, has been awarded by David Aganzo, president of the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE) and the international footballers' Union (FIFPRO) for her inclusion in the best women's football team at the FIFA The Best 2022 Awards.

The award ceremony was attended by AFE secretary general Diego Rivas, former professional footballer Jade Boho and AFE Women's Football and Training department coordinator Tania Tabanera.

The azulgrana received a framed Barcelona shirt from Aganzo during the national team's training camp at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, where the team coached by Jorge Vilda is is preparing for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand before heading to Denmark for a friendly match.

Putellas is Spain's most decorated player in history, with two Ballon d'Or awards (2021 and 2022) and two UEFA European Women's Player of the Year awards (2021 and 2022) among her many individual honours.
