England's Euro 2022 match-winning hero Chloe Kelly has been spotted on holiday ahead of the Women's World Cup getting underway next month.
The Manchester City forward wrote herself into folklore last summer when she netted the winner in the final against Germany in extra-time as Sarina Wiegman's side won the European Championship for the first time.
She is part of the Lionesses squad that will look to add the World Cup to their continental crown next month when the tournament gets underway in Australia and New Zealand.
England will report to St George's Park next week, before travelling to Australia on July 5 for the final preparation phase of the tournament. They kick off their campaign against Haiti on July 22.
And Kelly was seen enjoying the sunshine with a male companion as she hit the beach during a well-deserved break between the end of the WSL season and joining up with England.
Sharing a post on Instagram, she said: 'Much needed downtime with my (love emoji) before a big summer ahead.'
She also shared another few snaps from the sea as she captioned the post: 'Golden hour.'
After announcing her squad for the World Cup at the end of last month, England boss Wiegman outlined her hopes and aspirations.
She said: 'I have huge belief in this squad and we’re very fortunate to be selecting a fantastic group of players to travel to Australia.
'We know we will face tough challenges from strong teams, and we will have to be competitive from the first match on July 22. We will do everything to be at our very best again this summer.
'It is important the players get some well-deserved time to rest and recover over the next few weeks before we start the final preparations to get them ready.
'We learned a lot of positive lessons about how to get the players fit, fresh and ready from the Euros last summer and we know what we have to do to make sure we hit the ground running in the right way when the tournament starts.'
Along with Haiti, England will face Denmark and China in their group.
Kelly has won 23 caps for the Lionesses since making her debut in 2018, scoring six goals, while she netted six times in 30 appearances for City during the 2022-23 season.
The forward also sealed England's Finalissima triumph over Brazil in April, netting the decisive penalty as the Lionesses won 4-2 on spot kicks.
