Barca's Bronze out of Chelsea second leg; set for "few weeks" sidelined

Lucy Bronze was at full strength in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea (0-1) but in the 67th minute of the match she had to be substituted due to an injury.

Now, the Catalan club has confirmed that she has undergone an arthroscopy on her right knee. She will miss the second leg against Chelsea on Thursday. Coach Jonatan Giráldez assured in a press conference that she will be out for "a few weeks."

Marta Torrejon came on in her placeat Stamford Bridge as the former Manchester City player left the putch with a limp and visible signs of pain. She went straight to the dressing room but minutes later returned to the bench accompanied by doctors and with a large bag of ice covering her knee.

Fortunately for the team, Giráldez played down the importance of the surgery in a press conference on Wednesday, assuring that "she will only be out for a few weeks."
