This is tournament football, you need to understand that nobody cares about entertainment right now, everyone wants to win, you could clearly see it with the Algerian players crying on the bench. Every team in this afcon is being cautious, No one wants to concede a goal let alone lose, so don’t judge African football based on what you see on the first group days. We saw better football from the African teams when it was friendly games or WC qualifiers. I think Europeans just want to use this as an excuse to bash African football as always. The tournament is in its genesis phase, so just be patient, every team is just being cautious now, they will have to open up eventually
