Assist KING Lionel Messi named All Football Player of the Week back to back

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has been named All Football Player of the Week.

Messi highlights our All Football Team of the Week and was selected as a competitive candidate in our All Football Player of the Week Vote, in which he casts the most votes beating Ibrahimovic, Brozovic, Di Maria and Isak to the award.

It's Messi's second All Football Player of the Week award in 2020 and the consecutive one after last time he produced two goals and three assists in the one before last week.

The Barcelona ace started the last week with a bitter defeat against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey and being eliminated in the competition.

However, back to La Liga, Messi has produced a perfect performance to lead his team to make a comeback victory over Real Betis with three brilliant assists.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner's hat-trick of assists on last Sunday was the fourth of his career, three of which for Barcelona and one for Argentina.

And he became the second player who has scored 10+ league goals and provided 10+ league assists in Europe's top five divisions this season after Jadon Sancho.
