Benzema highlights our All Football Team of the Week and was selected as a competitive candidate in our All Football Player of the Week Vote, in which he casts the most votes beating De Bruyne, Lukaku, Kante & Quagliarella to the award.

With 3 brilliant goals in 2 games last week, Benzema took his Real Madrid tally to 207 goals and equalled that of Mexican Hugo Sánchez (Sixth highest scorer in Real Madrid history).

This season, the striker seems like another player: he has shaken off the at times apathetic demeanour which, in the past, led to a somewhat frosty relationship with the fans, and is adding both leadership and goals to the adept link-up play that has always been his hallmark.
