Celtic were on Sunday night closing in on a £2million deal for striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo, with Paris Saint-Germain's Timothy Weah poised to undergo a medical in Dubai in the next 48 hours.
The Parkhead club secured a six-month loan deal for West Brom's Scotland international Oliver Burke on Saturday morning.
And the Scottish champions could raise their tally of January signings to three by the middle of this week.
Rapid Vienna, Parma and Dynamo Kiev have all made offers to Slovakian club Dunajska Streda for 21-year-old Bayo after 18 goals and seven assists in 23 games this season.
After an opening bid of £1.7m was rejected, however, Celtic have now returned with a take-it-or-leave-it offer worth £2m.
And senior figures at the Parkhead club were quietly confident of completing a deal for the Ivory Coast Under-21 international this week.
A loan move for Weah, son of former Ballon D'Or winner George, was delayed while the 18-year-old penned a contract extension with PSG until 2021.
The powerful attacker will now have a medical examination in Dubai tomorrow before meeting his new team-mates, with paperwork all but complete on what is believed to be an 18-month deal.
Western Melbourne, meanwhile, have been dealt a set-back in their bid to sign Celtic skipper Scott Brown after they were rejected funding by the Football Federation Australia (FFA).
Sportsmail first revealed the ambitious new club's bid to land the former Scotland captain in October.
A-League clubs can apply to the FFA for assistance in paying for marquee players, according to Australian outlet The Age.
While the FFA are willing to help the new club, they are reported to be unwilling to dip into their pockets to fund a move to take Brown Down Under.
However, that will not stop Western Melbourne officials flying out this week to meet with Brown to make him a new offer.
