All Football Power Rankings of the Week: Liverpool overtake Juventus on top

Hello again! We organize clubs of Europe's top 5 leagues into an order that reflects the up-to-the-minute hierarchy every Tuesday.

The rankings are a season-long measurement of clubs, tracking teams throughout 2018-19 and taking into account results from all competitions. Our rankings consider advanced stats, full-season play and recent performance with some gut feeling mixed in.

Sides that have lost the fewest games naturally rank higher—though the strength of opposition met in a loss is considered—and both UEFA Champions/Europa League form and presence are used as tiebreakers for those with similar records. Teams that gather big wins against strong opponents get a boost.

-What's new

Real Madrid, who ranked 10th last week, have been dumped out of top 10 after Champions League humilation against CSKA Moskva.

Tottenham Hotspur enter top 10 after a sensational week while Bayern Munich is the leading candidate to grab a spot in our Rankings.

Here are the top 10

10. Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham earned a spot in our Rankings after entering Champions League knockout stages.

Super-sub Lucas Moura struck late to snatch a 1-1 draw with Barcelona after which Spurs booked a place in Champions League last 16.

In Premier League, Christian Eriksen scored injury-time winner to keep Pochettino's side on third of Premier League table.

9. Atletico Madrid

Atletico remained unbeaten last week despite blow-pair performance.

Diego Simeone's side blew chance away as they finished second in Champions League Group A after a goalless draw with Club Brugge... their next rival will be Juventus.

In La Liga, Antoine Griezmann scored twice, including a late winner, to seal a 3-2 win over Valladolid as Nikola Kalinic found the net again.

8. PSG

The Parisiens had their fate in hand as they secured top spot in Champions League Group C.

PSG front trio Neymar Jr, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe all scored to secure top spot in Champions League Group C.

Their Ligue 1 match continued to be postponed.

7. Arsenal

Gunners' 22-game unbeaten run came to an end after Southampton defeat.

Alexandre Lacazette scored the only goal as Gunners finished top in Europa League after 1-0 win over Qarabag.

However, Henrikh Mkhitaryan's double wasn't enough as Southampton snapped Gunners' 22-game unbeaten run with a 3-2 win.

6. Dortmund

BVB enjoyed a winning week as they beat Monaco and Bremen.

Raphael Guerreiro scored twice as Dortmund cruised to a 2-0 win at Monaco in Champions League.

In Bundesliga, Paco Alcacer and Marco Reus shined again as Favre's side defeat Bremen with a 2-1 win.

5. Chelsea

The Blues finished top in Europa League group and sealed win at Brighton.

Willian and Olivier Giroud both scored free-kicks as Chelsea were made to earn a point in 2-2 draw at Vidi to finish top in Europa League.

Three days later, Eden Hazard scored and laid on an assist for Pedro to seal a 2-1 away win over Brighton.

4. Manchester City

Citizens secured another two wins last week holding on second place in Premier League.

Leroy Sane scored twice as Manchester City came from behind to beat Hoffenheim 2-1 in Champions League.

In Premier League, Guardiola's side returned to winning ways as Gabriel Jesus scored double to seal a 3-1 win over Everton.

3. Juventus

Bianconeri sealed a slim win in Turin Derby but suffered a shock defeat in Champions League.

Juventus could have earned a draw with Young Boys but Cristiano Ronaldo denied Paulo Dybala equalizer in a 2-1 defeat with Bianconeri finishing top in group.

In the weekend, the Portuguese star settled his first Turin Derby with a penalty, which became Juventus' 5000th goal in Serie A, to keep Allegri's side on record start.

2. Barcelona

Should Lionel Messi be ranked only 5th in Ballon d'Or votes? The Argentine disagrees.

Rotated Barcelona were held in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham but Catalans have already booked first place in Champions League group.

In La Liga, Lionel Messi produced wonder as he scored his 31st La Liga hat-trick and set up another two goals in a 5-0 hammering at Levante.

1. Liverpool

Reds climb up to the top in our Rankings after sensational Anfield victories over Napoli and Manchester United.

Mohamed Salah scored the winning goal as Liverpool knocked Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli out in the last game of Champions League group stage.

In the weekend, Xherdan Shaqiri came off the bench to erase Alisson error with a late double as Klopp's side beat Manchester United with a resounding 3-1 win.
