Lallana picks up nasty head injury as Liverpool smash four past Bournemouth

Adam Lallana quite literally poured blood, sweat and tears into his substitute performance as Liverpool smashed four past Bournemouth to go top of the league.

The midfielder sustained a nasty head injury after colliding with an opponent for an aerial ball.

Lallana was left in a heap on the turf, and rising quickly to his knees could be seen with a face full of blood.

The 30-year-old was quickly ushered off the pitch to receive attention, during which the Liverpool medical staff applied a clotting solution in order for Lallana to return to the action.
