Italy standing not so tall

The average height of the Italy outfield starting line-up in the friendly against Ukraine is 1.77m (5ft 8in).

The front three is particularly short, as Lorenzo Insigne is 1.63m tall, Federico Chiesa 1.75 and Federico Bernardeschi ruins the average at 1.83m.

The Azzurri midfield keeps things brief with Marco Verratti standing at 1.65m, debutant Nicolò Barella 1.72m and Jorginho 1.80m.

Only the defence boasts some particularly tall figures, ruined slightly by Alessandro Florenzi at 1.73m.

Leonardo Bonucci (1.90m), Giorgio Chiellini (1.87m) and Cristiano Biraghi (1.84m) are all over 6ft.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma towers over everyone at 1.96m.
