Warnock was not happy with the dismissal of his player at Wembley
Match of the Day pundit Ian Wright has criticised Neil Warnock over his reaction to Joe Ralls' red card against Tottenham.
Spurs claimed a narrow 1-0 win over promoted Cardiff at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon, but they were helped by the Bluebirds going down to ten men.
An early goal put Tottenham in control, but Cardiff caused the home side problems until they were forced to play the final half an hour a man short.
Ralls was dismissed when he took out Lucas Moura just inside the Cardiff half after the Brazilian played the ball past him and went to run onto it.
It was a cynical challenge, nowhere near the ball.
Cardiff boss Warnock felt the Spurs players surrounding the referee influenced his decision, with the manager believing a yellow card would have been a fairer decision.
Warnock said: "I thought Mike Dean, an experienced referee, was going to give a yellow card, right from the start, but when he left it, there were one or two busy people around today, the linesman and the fourth official and I'm sure one of those influenced him.
"I'm sure when he looks at it [again] he would have given a yellow card nine out of ten times if it's left to him.
"I think he was wrong. He's not got any studs on him, yes he's pulled him down, but on the halfway line, come on, I don't think that's a red card.
Wright could not believe what he was hearing.
He said: "What's he not happy about? You can't complain about that.
"Eric Dier pointed it out perfectly, he could have just clipped him, take the yellow card. He's really had a go at him, he's really scythed him down.
"Just clip him, take your yellow card."
