@Divyansh26: I think because his first season at a tougher EPL was a whole lot of a success and not only he won the golden boot but also break the record for most goals in a season in the epl....

Also helped Egypt to qualify for world cup after a long time and he even helped Liverpool to reach the final of the uefa champions league and his doing his best to help Liverpool to win epl this time ..........

@jastels: He left Roma serial A To an almighty league and won golden boot pfa he would have maybe won the champions league but for a wrestler we know he had a quiet world cup no thanks to injury I think he would have been a more serious contender if not for ramos cus if he had won the champions league and started the world cup fit it would have been different. And for anybody saying Ronaldo should win it they should have a quick rethink cus Modric and Ronaldo won the champions league, Modric took his slight underdog Croatia ?? to a world cup final a thing Ronaldo could not do for Portugal ?? he deserves everything he is receiving now. And for Messi ?? really messed him up the coach was too incompetent. Anyways all the best for Modric

@Sanchez 7: To me I think salah is there because he created history this year in the most difficult league EPL although he had 0 trophies and several individual awards and Messi's omission could be as a result of his poor WC performance but I think GRIZEMANE deserved to be in the 3men shortlist after having a good WC performance, helped Atletico to the Super cup and UEL titles and was the UEL player of the year.
