The Union of European Football Associations, UEFA, on Monday announced the names of the three nominees shortlisted for the 2017/18 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Awards: Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal – Real Madrid CF, now at Juventus), Mohamed Salah (Egypt – Liverpool FC) and Luka Modrić (Croatia – Real Madrid CF).

@Nahbcekmrz: I think Cristiano Ronaldo would be a good captain as we all saw during the euro 2016 final when he got injured he stood next to the coach and gave the players some useful advice at the end Portugal won the euro for the first time. Ronaldo will also have the advantage of playing in the Portuguese league, premier league, La Liga and in the Serie A. That made him have the experience of playing in many leagues in addition to playing in the champions league for many years and winning it 5 times.
