One cap Super Eagles midfielder Paul Onobi joins Saudi Arabia side Al-Nojoom FC

Fomer Lobi Stars, Warri Wolves and Sunshine Stars of Akure midfielder Paul Onobi has joined Saudi Arabia top division side Al -Nojoom FC, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Onobi represented Abia Warriors and Lobi Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League after his one season stint with Finnish side KuPS where he played 22 games with just one assist to his name.
The 25 year old also had a short stint in Oman with Al Nasr with injury cutting short his stay at the club. His move to Al Nojoom FC is believed to be a contract for just a season although it has an extension clause if he performs as expected.
A start for the senior national team of Nigeria against Swaziland in a World Cup 2018 Qualifiers in 2016 caused uproar as then Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh preferred him to John Obi Mikel.
Onobi subsequently represented the B team of the Nigerian team at the African Nations Championship in Rwanda but failed to impress as Nigeria crashed out of the group stage of the tournament.
