Crystal Palace are set to lose a big part of Selhurst Park's raucous atmosphere when Liverpool visit on Monday night after a row with the club's infamous ultras group the 'Holmesdale Fanatics'.
The group have become synonymous with creating the electric buzz around the ground but the dedicated section of fans will no longer be situated in their usual spot in the corner of the Lower Holmesdale Stand because of a ticketing row with the club.
It will be the first time in 13 years that the group will not be present for a Palace home game after they requested to be moved elsewhere in Selhurst Park.
Last season, the Holmesdale Fanatics held discussions with the club over potentially moving from one corner of the ground to behind one of the goals to create a better atmosphere and get more fans involved with chants and the overall experience.
Following talks, the club approached fans behind the goal for feedback and put forward the idea of moving the Holmesdale Ultras in their place.
Supporters who sat behind the goal rejected the proposal as they did not want to lose the seats where they have been for years.
Once the message was passed back to the Holmesdale Fanatics, the group decided they no longer desired their usual spot in Block B of the Lower Holmesdale Stand.
Those 100 seats have no been sold on by the club.
The group confirmed that they have not disbanded and will work with Palace to seek a solution in the near future.
