The Champions League action will resume this week with record eight-time winners Al Ahly searching for their maiden win

Two Caf Champions League Group A matches are scheduled to take place on Tuesday with Esperance de Tunis hosting Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC, while Township Rollers take on Al Ahly away.

The reigning Tunisian champions Esperance took control of the group after thumping Rollers 4-1 at home two months ago.

The two-time Champions League winners will now host KCCA at the Stade Olympique de Radès in the Tunisian Harbour city of Radès. Kick-off is at 21h00 CAT.

Esperance, who have accumulated four points from two games, are looking to maintain their lead at the top of the Group A with another home victory.

Nicknamed the Blood and Gold, Esperance will look to Anice Badri, who scored twice against Rollers. The striker represented Tunisia at the recent 2018 Fifa World Cup finals in Russia.

They will lock horns with a KCCA side brimming with confidence having stunned Al Ahly 2-0 at home to record their first win in Group A two months ago.

Affectionately known as the Garbage Collectors, KCCA will be hoping to cause another upset and move into the top two positions in the group.

Ibrahima Saddam Juma, who scored against Al Ahly is the dangerman for the Gabarge Collectors. The attacking midfielder will be looking to inspire his side to victory in Radès.

Moroccan match referee Noureddine El Jaafari will officiate the game between Esperance and KCCA.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly are a wounded side following their shock 2-0 defeat away to KCCA and they are desperate to record their first victory in the group stage.

The defeat left the reigning Egyptian champions placed fourth on the Group A standings with one point from two games.

Moroccan striker Walid Azaro, who holds the record for the most goals (18) scored by a foreign player in the Egyptian Premier League, is the dangerman for Al Ahly and he will look to help his side win.

They will face a Rollers side keen to bounce back to winning ways after being thumped by Esperance - registering their first defeat in the group stage in the process.

The reigning Botswana champions are making their maiden debut appearance in group stage along with KCCA. The Blues are heading into their third game placed second on the standings with two points.

Algerian match referee Mustapha Ghorbal will be in charge of the game between Al Ahly and Rollers
