N'Zonzi urges France team-mates to let N'Golo Kante take picture with World Cup

France and Chelsea star N'Golo Kante may be busy and in your face on the pitch but off it, a very different story appears.

France won their second World Cup on Sunday after beating Croatia 4-2 in a thrilling final and after the final whistle, celebrations were in full swing at the Luzhniki Stadium.

While Kante's French team-mates were busy seizing the moment and taking pictures with the trophy, the midfielder very much struggled to get hold of the World Cup before Steven N'Zonzi gave him a helping hand.

N'Zonzi had to step in and retrieve the trophy for his midfield friend as Kante was too shy to ask and didn't want to impose on anyone.

And it appears as if Kante has always been the reserved type - which has captured the heart of fans worldwide - after a picture emerged of him celebrating as a youngster.

In the photo, while his young team-mates are celebrating as a group with the trophy, a tiny Kante can be seen smiling at the cup while standing on the outside of the celebrations.

But it's not just off the pitch where Kante, who didn't have the greatest of games on Sunday, has won the hearts of many. His World Cup-winning team-mates have fully appreciated his brilliance on the field.

After their greatest ever triumph, Paul Pogba, Benjamin Mendy and Ousmane Dembele were seen serenading Kante with a song as they celebrated in the dressing room following the final whistle.

And it didn't stop there. Kylian Mbappe posted a video on Instagram of the whole France squad chanting Kante's name on the team bus as they enjoyed a few drinks following their victory.

27-year-old Kante has enjoyed a whirlwind career after moving to England with Leicester before joining Chelsea, winning two Premier League titles and a World Cup in the space of three years.
