Griezmann dons France shirt with two stars on it after World Cup victory

France lifted their second World Cup with victory over Croatia in the final on Sunday and it's safe to say Antoine Griezmann came prepared for the post-match celebrations.

The two sides were level thanks to an  own goal from Mario Mandzukic and a strike from Ivan Perisic  before Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe all found the net, Mandzukic bagging a late consolation goal for the Blazers.

The heavy rainfall did nothing to dampen the French spirits come the final whistle as Didier Deschamps men made the most of their success at the Luzhniki Stadium.

And Griezmann wasted no time in removing his match-worn shirt and replacing it with a new one, this one emblazoned with two stars as opposed to one.

National sides add a star above the crest on their shirts each time they lift football's biggest prize, France having previously triumphed in 1998.

Griezmann took to Instagram to share a photo of himself pointing at the two stars on the custom strip before heading back out onto the pitch for the official presentation.

Pogba and Mbappe could be seen howling with laughter after noticing the subtle change as Les Blues performed their lap of honour.

Griezmann's coolly taken first half spot-kick saw him finish joint-second in the race for the Golden Boot, England's Harry Kane taking home the award with six goals to his name.

The Atletico Madrid forward started all seven of France's games in the competition, contributing four goals and three assists.
