West Ham announce financial services firm Basset & Gold as first-ever sleeve sponsor

West Ham will wear a Lion Rampant on their shirt next season after the Premier League club signed their first sleeve sponsor.

The logo of Basset & Gold, a financial services firm in London, will feature on the left sleeve of the first team, academy and PL2 players.

The Hammers have had a busy summer, having named Manuel Pellegrini as manager and made five signings so far, with more to come.

Pellegrini's players are currently away in pre-season in Switzerland and Basset & Gold will also become West Ham's eSports partner.

The deal will see the east London club and their new sponsor work with the local community through activities, charity work and fan engagement.

Karren Brady, West Ham's vice-chairman, said: 'What really appealed to us was their commitment to working and engaging with our fans in east London and the local community.

'Our fans are at the heart of everything we do and we wanted to partner with someone who understands that and mirrors that commitment in their own work.

'Both partners are determined to achieve success next season and we cannot wait to launch our partnership through some incredible activations for our fans.'

A Basset & Gold spokesperson added: 'We found West Ham United to stand out from the others in the way they treat their fans and their community, which is also ours being based in the City of London - only one train stop away from the fabulous stadium.'

Meanwhile, the owners of the London Stadium will also continue to consider options for naming rights next season.
