Chelsea in talks to let Jeremie Boga join Italian outfit Sassuolo on loan

Chelsea midfielder Jeremie Boga is in talks over a move to Italian side Sassuolo.

The 21-year-old Ivory Coast international has made one brief appearance for Chelsea, starting against Burnley last season before coming off after 18 minutes when Gary Cahill was sent off.

He spent the rest of the season on loan at Birmingham City scoring twice in 31 appearances.

Sassuolo want French-born Boga to join them on loan for the season. Real Betis and Celta Vigo have also asked about him.

Boga has been with Chelsea since 2009 and has been out on loan at Rennes and Granada as well as Birmingham.

The move to Sassuolo will come as a surprise considering Boga said last month he had no intention of leaving Chelsea on loan once more.

Speaking to Foot Mercato, he said: 'I have clear ideas about my future. This is my third season on loan.

'I have a lot of experience [after] the end of the season and I feel ready for next year to either fight to try to establish myself at Chelsea or to leave the club.

'I do not really want another loan.'
