Xherdan Shaqiri becomes All Football Man of the Match as Switzerland beat Serbia by 2-1

Stoke City might be relegated from Premier League, Xherdan Shaqiri and Switzerland are on course to progress through World Cup Group E.

Shaqiri scores an injury-time winner to help the Swiss come back to beat Serbia, and they have surpassed the opposition in the group standing.

It means that Switzerland only have to avoid defeat in the final group fixture against Costa Rica to make it to the last 16.

Therefore, Shaqiri's late winner stands them in good stead as they become favourites to come out of the group, along with Brazil.

The 26-year-old winger has eight shots in the match, he went agonizingly close to make to match-defining goal by hitting the bar, just after Granit Xhaka equalizes for the Rossocrociati.

But he certainly didn't miss the target in the final minutes, driving through the whole attacking half before he cooly dispatched the winning goal.
