Arsenal agree terms with Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira (GdS)

Reports in Italy suggest Arsenal have agreed terms with Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.
It was rumoured earlier today that the Gunners had a €30m bid accepted for the Uruguayan, but were struggling to agree personal terms.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport is now reporting that a meeting with Torreira’s agent this afternoon brought significant progress, and there is now a deal in place.
The midfielder now just has to work out the final details before signing a five-year contract, with Arsenal beating Napoli and Borussia Dortmund to his signature.
Torreiera has a €25m release clause, but the Premier League side have agreed to pay more so they can split the cost over several years.
