The Red Devils have found a new sleeve sponsor after missing out on a deal with dating app Tinder last season
Manchester United have agreed a new multi-million pound sleeve sponsorship deal with American kitchen and bathroom manufacturer Kohler, Goal understands.
The Red Devils are following in the footsteps of their Premier League rivals by signing a contract which is believed to be close to £10m, although it’s understood that Arsenal’s £30m partnership with Visit Rwanda remains the league’s biggest sleeve sponsorship deal.
United, who negotiated a deal with dating app Tinder for sleeve sponsorship at the start of last season, were seeking around £15-20m for their sleeve deal but have had to settle for figures below what they originally expected.
Manchester City’s deal with Korean company Nexen Tire, the first agreement after the Premier League permitted sleeve advertising, is reportedly worth up to around £10m in total while Chelsea’s £6m-a-year contract with Hyundai lags behind the rest of their competitors.
Jose Mourinho’s side have over 54 commercial delays in place including kit supplier Adidas, training kit sponsor DHL and music partner Deezer, while they have more unconventional sponsors such as global mattress and pillow parter Mlily and official coffee partner Melitta.
They are seeking to improve their fortunes on the field, meanwhile, after a disappointing 2017-18 campaign, in which they finished as Premier League runners-up to Manchester City and also lost the final of the FA Cup to Chelsea.
