Neymar in high spirits before World Cup as he enjoys helicopter ride with Brazil teammates

Brazil will hope to fly high at the World Cup this summer as a star-studded squad rejuvenated under the leadership of Tite attempt to banish terrible memories of that humiliating 7-1 semi-final drubbing by Germany on home soil four years ago.

Pivotal to hopes of claiming a sixth world title will be Neymar, who looked in good spirits on Saturday as he enjoyed some downtime alongside girlfriend Bruna Marquezine, Paris Saint-Germain teammate Thiago Silva, Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho and Renato Augusto of Beijing Guoan.

As documented on Instagram, the quintet took in the plentiful sights of Rio de Janeiro from a high vantage point in a helicopter, which certain players have also used this week to travel to Brazil's remote Granja Comary training complex in the picturesque city of Teresopolis.

The Selecao have attracted plenty of attention this week as the tournament in Russia draws closer and fans will be encouraged by the fact that Neymar appeared to finish his first full week of training in fine condition.

Brazilian football confederation footage shows the PSG forward - who has not played since February after undergoing surgery on a fractured metatarsal - passing and dribbling at high speed in training that was closed to the media.

Brazil's players are off duty now until Sunday morning, when they will prepare to travel to London for another training camp.

Tite's side will be guests at Tottenham's Hotspur Way between 28 May-8 June, using the newly-completed players' Lodge. They take on Croatia in a warm-up friendly at Anfield on 3 June before meeting Austria in Vienna seven days later.

The five-star Swissotel Resort Sochi Kamelia hotel will provide their base for the World Cup, where Brazil begin their Group E campaign against another European outfit in Switzerland in Rostov-on-Don on 17 June.

They then journey to Saint-Petersburg to play Costa Rica before heading to Moscow to lock horns with Serbia.
