Lyon star Nabil Fekir refuses to rule out Liverpool transfer as speculation grows

Nabil Fekir has remained coy on his future and is refusing to rule out a possible move to Liverpool as speculation grows in the early stages of the transfer window.

The Reds have been strongly linked with a swoop for the Lyon star over the past few weeks despite being deep into preparations for a Champions League final.

The attacking midfielder was in brilliant form for the Ligue 1 side this term, bagging 23 goals and nine assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

And that good form has opened up speculation surrounding his future, with Liverpool rumoured to be one of the front-runners for his signature.

The 24-year-old has now told French outlet RTL that he isn't ruling anything out over the next few months.

He said: “ Why not? Later there can be discussions with the president, with my entourage, to make a decision. In life, nothing can be forbidden.”

Earlier this week the midfielder was once again coy over his future.

Fekir said to RMC Sport: “I don't know, frankly. I had a great season here, with the staff, the crowd and exceptional players.

“There were a lot of emotions and we finished it in style.

“I gave everything for Lyon, we’ll see for the future."
