Atletico Madrid are now planning for a future without Antoine Griezmann. Even though the France forward has still not commented on his future in public, the club are working on the idea that they need a replacement.

The Rojiblanco managed to stop Griezmann leaving last summer. It was a delicate time for the club after their appeal against a transfer ban was knocked back.

Griezmann agreed to stay for one more year as the club moved into the Wanda Metropolitano on the premise that his release clause would be lowered to 100 million euros this summer.

CEO Gil Marin will have 100 million to spend, which will represent a 70 million profit: they signed Griezmann from Real Sociedad for 30 million four years ago.

STRIKERS

It's a familiar tale for Atletico, who have lost Torres, Diego Forlan, Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and Costa (who came back this season) in recent years.

There have been other striker who haven't worked out quite as well: Jackson Martinez, Mario Mandzukic, Kevin Gameiro...
