Chelsea teenager Mason Mount rewarded for fine Vitesse form as he trains with England

Gareth Southgate has rewarded England Under 19 starlet Mason Mount for his fine form this season by allowing the Chelsea starlet to train with his senior side.

Attacking midfielder Mount, who scored 14 goals in 39 games during his loan spell at Vitesse this season, will train with the likes of Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Dele Alli this week.

Mount has been given the chance to rub shoulders with England's top stars because several of England's World Cup members will be given another week or two off.

Mount was pictured sharing a joke with Arsenal's Danny Welbeck before taking to the field at St. George's Park.

Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones and Gary Cahill will not join up with Southgate's men until next Saturday after they competed in the FA Cup final.

Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson will also be given an extended break as they will represent Liverpool in Saturday's Champions League final.

Their commitments have also opened the door to Nathaniel Chalobah, Angus Gunn, James Tarkowksi and Jake Livermore to train despite not being in Southgate's final 23-man squad.

Mount, who has represented England's Under 16, 17, 18 and 19 sides, is expected to return to Stamford Bridge in the summer before Chelsea make a decision on where he will play next season.

Chelsea's managerial situation remains up in the air despite Antonio Conte leading the Blues to a FA Cup final win over Manchester United on Saturday.
