It is a sight that Manchester City fans are used to seeing, and now Gabriel Jesus' trademark celebration has taken the form of a mural in his old Sao Paulo neighbourhood.

The Brazil international, who will be hoping to star for his country at the World Cup this summer, grew up playing football in Sao Paulo.

Now aged 21, Jesus is one of the most exciting players in the Premier League and he scored 13 goals in the top flight this season as he helped City to win the title.

Jesus looked delighted as he posed in front of the mural and he posted a picture on Instagram.

The image was accompanied by the caption: 'So proud to see this happening back where it all began in my hometown, Jardim Peri.

'Alo Mae!! Thank you @adidasfootball and my neighborhood.'

Jesus has an impressive goalscoring record for Brazil having found the net nine times in 15 appearances for his country since making his debut in September 2016.

Brazil have been drawn with Costa Rica, Serbia and Switzerland in Group E at the World Cup and will be determined to go all the way.

This is set to be Jesus' first involvement at a major tournament and he is among the favourites to win the golden boot.
