Man City's Raheem Sterling appears in court with ex-girlfriend

England star Raheem Sterling appeared in court today to attend a hearing concerning his former girlfriend.

The Manchester City winger stood behind blonde Melissa Clarke, as they waited to enter the court.

The pair ignored each other  as they waited to walk through security into the courthouse in Liverpool.

The couple have had a volatile relationship ever since  they separated when he was 16.

Sterling, who earns £200,000-a-week, was casually dressed in jeans and Polo shirt he was accompanied into court by a member of his management team.

A minder stood in front of photographers outside the court and told him not to take any photographs of Sterling.

Sterling, who was named this week in the England squad for next month’s World Cup in Russia, waited over two hours before his case was called, which was a private hearing.

Earlier this year the star proposed to his girlfriend Paige Milian, a former shop worker with whom he has a 16-month-old son, Thiago.

The couple met as teens while he was at Queens Park Rangers at the start of his football career

They split when he moved to Liverpool but reunited and now live in a £3.5million Cheshire home.
