Keita pictured in a Liverpool scarf as RB Leipzig midfielder prepares for Anfield switch

Liverpool still have one rather important game to play this season but thoughts are already beginning to turn to next campaign and Naby Keita's arrival at the club.

The Reds take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 26 and Keita will hope that he will arrive with the club as European champions.

The 23-year-old was pictured wearing a Liverpool scarf as the excitement surrounding his switch to the club intensifies.

Liverpool agreed to sign Keita from RB Leipzig last year, with the final fee to bring him to Anfield totalling £52.75million.

Keita spent two years at RB Leipzig and was given a warm sendoff from the club's supporters following his last game - the 6-2 victory away to Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

It is clear that Keita is very well respected by RB Leipzig supporters despite his decision to leave the club.

He posted a message on his Instagram which read: 'I just want to take a minute to say thanks for everything. Thanks for the 2 years I’ve been here in Leipzig. I appreciated the whole team and a big thank to the FAN RB Leipzig, your guys are AMAZING!!! NK8 ⚽️✌️'

The club also posted a tweet to thank Keita for his contribution to RB Leipzig and wish him the best at Liverpool.

In total, the Guinea international made 71 appearances for RB Leipzig and produced some impressive performances in the process, helping the club to finish second in the Bundesliga in the 2016/17 season.

This campaign RB Leipzig reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where they were beaten 6-3 on aggregate by Marseille.
