Next Arsenal Manager Odds: Allegri the new favourite to replace Wenger

Despite having a deal running until 2020, the Juventus boss has displaced Luis Enrique as the market principle to take over at the Emirates Stadium

Massimiliano Allegri is now 11/4 (3.75) favourite with bet365 to become Arsenal's next permanent manager.

This, despite the fact that the Italian has a deal which runs until 2020 with Juventus and recently commented that he decided his future "a year ago" in reference to his contract renewal with the Old Lady.

While Allegri might now hold the favourite tag, in truth the market still looks particularly open when it comes to who Arsene Wenger's succesor at the Emirates Stadium might be.

Luis Enrique is available at 9/2 (5.50), having been as short as 2/1 (3.0) after Wenger confirmed he would be departing the club this summer.

Having led Barcelona to European glory during his time at the Camp Nou, Enrique seems unlikely to take a role with no Champions League football and so it would be no surprise to see his price drift further should the Gunners fail to qualify for the Europa League final against Atletico Madrid on Thursday.

The 47-year-old is currently on a year away from football and will likely be one of the hottest managerial properties in the world when making his return to the sidelines.

Brendan Rodgers has been cut to 13/2 (7.50) having guided Celtic to a seventh consecutive Scottish Premier League title over the weekend. However, the former Liverpool boss distance himself from the vacancy once more in a talkSPORT interview, insisting he's 'happy' in Glasgow and has no interest in taking over from Wenger at the moment.

Carlo Ancelotti is available at 10/1 (11.0) and the case for appointing the 58-year-old has been made previously. Having turned down the Italy national team, it seems Ancelotti is holding out for a high-profile role elsewhere.

While several of those - including former club Chelsea - might be available this summer, the Italian certainly makes the most appeal of anyone in the market currently, especially at a double figure price.

Mikel Arteta is now a 16/1 (17.0) chance as is Joachim Low. Patrick Vieira comes next at 18/1 (19.0) ahead of Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe in the latest betting.
