Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana spotted leaving tanning salon

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana was spotted leaving a tanning salon on Thursday as he edges closer to a return from injury.

The England international has made only 14 appearances for the Reds this season following a series of fitness problems.

But he could return to training next week in a welcome boost for Jurgen Klopp – who is short of midfield options following the serious injury suffered by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Liverpool's 5-2 victory over Roma.

Lallana has been undergoing rehabilitation out in Cape Town. But the 29-year-old doesn't appear to be happy with the results of his sun soaking in South Africa as on Thursday he was pictured leaving a salon in Cheshire.

The England international, who is currently out with hamstring injury, is still some way off being fit to feature for the Reds first team.

But his return cannot come quick enough for Klopp, who has only three fit central midfielders at his disposal following Oxlade-Chamberlain's latest setback.

The former Arsenal star was taken off on a stretcher in the first half as Liverpool moved closer to the Champions League final with victory over Roma at Anfield on Tuesday.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will also miss out on this summer's World Cup with England, while Emre Can's back injury has kept him out of action since March 17.
