Barcelona are scouting Real Betis' Fabian Ruiz

Central midfielder Fabian Ruiz is attracting attention from Barcelona, who sent scouts to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano to watch the Real Betis man play against Atletico Madrid.

The Betis youth product started the game and produced an assured performance, as he did last time scouts watched him in the 5-3 Seville derby victory at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan earlier this year.

Mundo Deportivo say that Barcelona are tracking the 22-year-old, who recently signed a new deal to keep him at the Estadio Benito Villamarin until June 2023.

The Catalans could still make a move for the Spain Under-21 international, following up on their interest last summer when Robert Fernandez wanted to sign him for the B team, only for Quique Setien to reject all approaches.
