Insigne is paired with the tallest mascots again in Napoli's goalless draw with AC Milan

Standing at just 5ft 3in Lorenzo Insigne is one of the shortest footballers around.

Opposition teams are constantly coming up with new ways to mock the Napoli forward's height.

And Milan became the latest club to pair the Italian with their tallest mascots as they lined up at the San Siro on Sunday.

Insigne seemed to see the funny side of things as he walked onto the pitch flanked by two Milan mascots who were barely any shorter than him.

He turned and grinned towards the camera as he made his way to the lineup before the Serie A goalless draw.

It's not the first time it's happened to the Italy international, as many eagle-eyed observers have been keen to point out.

Only last month was Insigne paired with another set of tall mascots, this time turning out for his country during their defeat by Argentina.

A few years ago the 26-year-old was barely visible as he poked his head out from behind a mascot during Napoli's Europa League clash with PSV Eindhoven.

And another picture, from a Napoli clash with Torino, shows Insigne stood side by side with his mascot, because he's exactly the same height.
