Barcelona have now lost three consecutive European quarter-finals

Not since they won the treble in the 2014/15 season have Barcelona reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, with Roma the latest side to knock them out by earning a 3-0 victory in Wednesday night's second leg.
As they sought to defend their title in 2015/16, they were knocked out at this stage by Atletico Madrid, who came back at the Estadio Vicente Calderon to win 3-2 on aggregate.
Then they fell against Juventus last year, having lost 3-0 in Turin and then been unable to get their comeback attempt going as they drew 0-0 back at the Camp Nou.
Roma are now the latest side to keep Barcelona from reaching the semi-finals.
