All Football Power Rankings of the Week (Apr 10, 2018): Real enter top 3 as Barca stay top

Hello again! We organize clubs of Europe's top 5 leagues into an order that reflects the up-to-the-minute hierarchy every Tuesday.

The rankings are a season-long measurement of clubs, tracking teams throughout 2017-18 and taking into account results from all competitions. Our rankings consider advanced stats, full-season play and recent performance with some gut feeling mixed in.

Sides that have lost the fewest games naturally rank higher—though the strength of opposition met in a loss is considered—and both UEFA Champions/Europa League form and presence are used as tiebreakers for those with similar records. Teams that gather big wins against strong opponents get a boost.

10. Arsenal

Alexandre Lacazette, making his first start since January, and Aaron Ramsey netted doubles as Arsenal strolled to a 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow in their Europa League quarter-final first leg at the Emirates. On Sunday, Danny Welbeck scored twice as Arsenal recovered from a series of setbacks to claim a 3-2 victory over Southampton.

9. Tottenham Hotspur

Christian Eriksen's double left Stoke deep in relegation trouble as Tottenham won 2-1 at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon. They are now 10 points clear of 5th-placed Chelsea.

8. Atletico Madrid

Antoine Griezmann cancelled out Cristiano Ronaldo’s opener to hand Atletico Madrid a 1-1 draw against city rivals Real Madrid and extend their unbeaten record at the Bernabeu to five games. But the gap between Atletico & league leaders Barcelona is expanded to 11 points.

7. Liverpool

Liverpool took a firm grip on their Champions League quarter-final as Manchester City were torn apart by a three-goal burst from Jurgen Klopp's side in the first 31 minutes at Anfield. On Saturday, a much-changed Liverpool side battled to a goalless draw away to Everton in an uninspiring 231st Merseyside derby.

6. Manchester United

Paul Pogba spearheaded a sensational Manchester United comeback to deny Manchester City a chance to win the Premier League title in a 3-2 win on Saturday.

5. Juventus

Juventus got beaten 3-0 by Real Madrid in Champions League quarter-final first-leg. On weekends, Paulo Dybala scored a hat-trick containing two penalties as Juventus beat Benevento 4-2 to move seven points clear at the top of Serie A.

4. Manchester City

YES. It was a bad week for Manchester City. They started their battle for a place in the Champions League semi-final with a very bad 3-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield. On Saturday, they lost at home to bitter rivals Manchester United by a final score of 3-2 after a tantalizing first half teased us into think the title was all but won.

3. Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a spectacular overhead kick as Real Madrid took firm control of their Champions League quarter-final against Juventus with a 3-0 first-leg win in Turin on Tuesday.

2. Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich were confirmed as Bundesliga champions for the sixth consecutive season on Saturday after a 4-1 win over Augsburg.

1. Barcelona

Barcelona eased past Roma with a 4-1 win at the Camp Nou that will leave them confident of a spot in Champions League last four. On Sunday, Lionel Messi scored a brilliant hat-trick to sink Leganes and help Barcelona match the all-time La Liga unbeaten record of 38 games. They only need 10 points to secure the title.

Points for each team are based on All Football Power Rankings System. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section. See you next week!
